Shopify inventory updates

This interaction is used to keep inventory levels up-to-date in Shopify by importing the on-hand inventory levels from one, or multiple, warehouses in Brightpearl.

Inventory update triggers

When on hand inventory levels change at the selected warehouse(s) in Brightpearl, a webhook triggers the quantities to be updated in Shopify. Brightpearl also triggers a nightly bulk synchronization to update all inventory to ensure Shopify is kept up to date.


Inventory available at more than one Brightpearl warehouse can be used to set the availability on Shopify. Although a Brightpearl order can only manage allocations from a single warehouse, fulfillments can be split across multiple warehouses. Brightpearl Automation can be configured to split shipments across warehouses automatically.

Bundle quantity

The quantity of a Brightpearl bundle will be sent to Shopify. The bundle quantity is made up only of complete bundles within a warehouse. A bundle is not considered on-hand if the components are available at separate Brightpearl warehouses, even if all those warehouses are being synchronized with Shopify.


Brightpearl’s connector fully supports multi-location in Shopify. You are able to map Brightpearl warehouses to Shopify locations for inventory and fulfillment. Note that Brightpearl would still use default allocation warehouse set under the 'Orders' tab. 

You will need to map all your Shopify locations to Brightpearl warehouses within the Brightpearl Shopify app inventory settings.
