WELCOME TO THE RELEASE NOTES!
While the times we find ourselves living in are unprecedented, it's reassuring to know that you can still rely on Brightpearl carrying on as normal with these new features.
Amazon | Settlement report mapping
Amazon charges a wide selection of fees for which you need to create accounting entries in Brightpearl. These accounting entries ensure your balance sheet is correct and makes it easy to account for fees separately to enable reporting over time.
With the Amazon settlement report mapping feature, you will be able to:
- Automatically account for order-related fees and other fees seen on the Amazon settlement report
- Specify different account codes for different types of fees
- Prevent accounting entries from being created for certain fees and charges, depending on your business preferences and workflows
- See e-commerce alerts for transactions not processed automatically due to missing orders

BigCommerce | Store credit as order row
BigCommerce has a concept of store credit. A merchant can issue a store credit to a buyer – this is treated as a refund in BigCommerce – who can later use that credit towards a purchase.
When an order redeeming store credit is placed, it will be downloaded to Brightpearl with a negative row assigned to a liability account code. Read more here.
Magento | Magento MSI (Multi-Source Inventory)
Multi-Source Inventory (MSI) is a new inventory management mechanism for multi-source support. It is available for Magento 2.3+ merchants. It is designed to help you to reduce the negative impact of concurrent checkout.
Brightpearl Automation | Advanced fulfilment
We've added a new action that can be used to create goods-out notes, purchase orders and/or dropship purchase orders against specific order rows. This is the equivalent to using 'Partial/Advanced fulfil' within the sales order screen. Find out more here.
Brightpearl Demand Planner | New purchase order screen
A new design for the 'New purchase order' screen means you can customize columns in your PO. Also, when creating a PO from a combined warehouse, you can now designate which physical warehouse will receive inventory.
Brightpearl Demand Planner | Last sales forecasting method
We've introduced a new method to forecast demand called "Last Sales". This forecasting method is best for non-seasonal products. It is based on average sales for the last x number days, where you set the number of days. If the stockouts adjustment is enabled, the forecast only looks for periods when the product was in stock. Trends are not considered with this forecasting method.
Brightpearl Demand Planner | Vendor price breaks
In Brightpearl it's possible to set price breaks for quantity break discounts. The good news is this is now respected in Demand Planner! When creating a purchase order and adding a variant with breaks in the vendor's price list, the unit price will automatically update depending on the quantity ordered. We also recommend increasing the quantity when a new price tier is available.
Brightpearl WMS | Inventory Transfers module
WMS’ new Transfer module builds on Brightpearl's existing transfers functionality by providing a more intuitive configuration interface, and by offering a higher level of functionality, such as:
- Intelligent assigning of quantities based on current levels and reorder points
- Better overview of inventory levels at the source and destination warehouses
- The ability to add products to transfers by scanning product barcodes
- The option to bypass the goods out / receipt processes
- Configuring transfers to several warehouses simultaneously
Warehouse transfers is a feature that needs to be turned on by Brightpearl staff so contact our support team or your account manager if you’d like to have the module activated.
Brightpearl WMS | Custom fields on product pages and previews
You can now add custom fields to product pages and previews to allow your warehouse staff to view product information important to your business – unlocking your own particular workflows and enabling WMS users to make informed decisions on the fly.
Brightpearl WMS | Transfers optimization
Last month we released the new Transfers module. This month we’ve added a few small additions and optimizations to make sure your transfers are as seamless as possible.
Reduce transfer quantities to match availability
When you’re configuring transfers, it’s possible to set transfer quantities that exceed the availability at the source - especially when you’re using functions to set quantities. This new feature will reduce the quantities against any red lines at a destination until they’re within the stock levels available.
Account for inventory in transit when calculating transfer quantities
This optional variation on the Meet Minimum Stock Level function lets you take into account any inventory that’s on its way to a destination when calculating the quantity to transfer.
Ability to filter out products with 0 on hand at source
You might not want to add products to a transfer if you currently have none available to ship from the source warehouse. This feature lets you choose whether or not to add products with an On Hand level of 0 to the transfer.
Brightpearl POS | Square integration
Brightpearl POS | Loyalty and Gift Cards - Integration with Voucherify
Brightpearl POS is enriched with Loyalty and Gift cards functionality. In addition to the existing POS feature set, your customers can buy and spend gift cards, enrol to loyalty programs, earn and redeem loyalty points to pay for their purchases as well as get refunded into gift cards.
Your customers can also earn points from online sales channels. The loyalty and gift cards integration enables you to produce and distribute promotional codes and vouchers for your online sales, too.
Brightpearl POS | Staff login by scanning their barcode
Brightpearl POS now has the extended functionality that allows your staff members to log into the app without searching for their login thumbnail and tapping on it - instead they just scan their barcode and their passcode is ready to be tapped in.
API | Product Availability GET - option to include on-order
You can now find the on-order inventory level of a product when requesting its availability via Product Availability GET. On order is a useful figure as it tells you how many items are expected to be received against your open purchase orders into each warehouse.
If you include this option, the response will include both the total quantity across all purchase orders in Brightpearl and the shipped quantity (in other words, the quantity that has already been received). To find the number of items that have not yet been received, i.e. the on-order quantity, simply subtract the shipped quantity from the total.
API | Warehouse SEARCH
With this new endpoint, you can now search all warehouses with the option to filter by warehouse ID, name, type or address ID.
