Setup | Configuring POS to use loyalty and gift cards

Before taking the following steps, please make sure you have completed

Brightpearl POS apps

To set up your POS store for loyalty and gift cards, you'll need to install both the Brightpearl POS app and the Brightpearl Premium POS app in the Brightpearl app store.

    1. In Brightpearl, click "App store" on the top right-hand corner of the screen and look up "Brightpearl POS".
    2. Once you've found it, click "Install"/"Turn on".

    3. Then look for “Brightpearl Premium POS”.
    4. Once you've found it, click "Install"/"Turn on".v12.png

This will allow you access to the loyalty and gift card settings for POS stores.

POS store settings

Before you can start using loyalty or gift cards with POS, you need to configure your POS settings. These settings will need to be configured for each individual POS store.

  1. Go to Settings > Brightpearl POS > Store settings > {choose store to edit} > Loyalty and gift cards settings.
  2. Choose whether to enable loyalty cards, gift cards, or both.

    Once at least one of the above options is selected, the settings for the rest of the options are shown.
    Warning: If you're using gift cards, both options need to be enabled.
  3. Fill in the API key and API secret provided by Voucherify.

    • To find your API key, log into your Voucherify account, go to your profile (upper right on the screen on your profile name), then click Project settings > Application keys. Select the application ID to copy it. The environment should be "Production".
    • To find your API secret, log into your Voucherify account, go to your profile (upper right on the screen on your profile name), then click Project settings > Application keys. Select the secret key to copy it. The environment should be "Production".
  4. Next, choose which user profiles (cashier, manager) have permission to manually adjust loyalty card points.

  5. Choose whether the POS receipt will contain a loyalty footer, detailing the customer’s loyalty card balance before and after the transaction, points earned and points spent.

  6. Pick the payment method that will be used for POS gift card payments and the payment method for POS loyalty card payments. You will need to have already set up your payment methods - please see here for more information.
    Note: You also need to include the payment methods used for loyalty and gift cards payments in the payment methods available for use in this POS store further up in the store’s configuration.

  7. If you have enabled gift cards in this POS store, add the products that correspond to gift cards.

  8. Save your settings and repeat for any other applicable POS stores.

Download the Brightpearl POS app in the Apple App Store

Please delete the existing Brightpearl POS app if you have it already installed on your iPad and reinstall the latest POS app from the Apple App Store.
