SETUP | How to set up POS stores at Brightpearl

Before taking the following steps, please make sure you have completed

Brightpearl POS apps

In order to set up your POS store(s) for loyalty and gift cards, you need to first install the Brightpearl POS app and the Brightpearl Premium POS app in Brightpearl app store.

    1. Go to your Brightpearl account > "App store" and look up for "Brightpearl POS".
    2. Once found, select "Install"/"Turn on".

    3. Then look up for “Brightpearl Premium POS”.
    4. Once found, select "Install"/"Turn on".

This should allow you access to the loyalty and gift cards settings on POS store level.

POS stores

Every POS store in Brightpearl that offers loyalty cards and/or gift cards, needs to be first set up in Brightpearl by visiting the dedicated section of the POS store settings “Loyalty and Gift Cards Settings”.

  1. Go to Settings > Brightpearl POS > Store settings > {choose store to edit} > Loyalty and Gift Cards Settings.
  2. First, you need to select whether loyalty and/or gift cards will be enabled for this POS store.

    Once at least one of the above options is selected, the settings for the rest of the options are shown.
    Please note that both options need to be selected for gift cards to be enabled.
  3. In the next two fields, you need to fill in the API key and secret as provided via your Voucherify account.

    1. To find your API key, log into your Voucherify account, go to your profile (upper right on the screen on your profile name) > Project settings > Client-side keys > and select the application id to copy it. The environment should be Production.
    2. To find your API secret, log into your Voucherify account, go to your profile (upper right on the screen on your profile name) > Project settings > Client-side keys > and select the secret key to copy it. The environment should be Production.

  4. Next, you need to choose which user profiles (cashier, manager) should have the permission to manually adjust the loyalty cards points.

  5. In the following section, you can choose whether the POS receipt will contain a loyalty footer, which shall consist of an update of the customer’s loyalty cards (balance before and after the transaction, points earned and points spent).

  6. In the next two settings, you need to select the payment method that will be linked to the POS gift card payments and the payment method for POS loyalty card payments. You will need to have already set up your payment methods, please see here.
    Please note that you need to include the payment method assigned for loyalty and gift cards payments to the payment methods available in this POS store (further up in the store’s configuration).

  7. In the last section, in case you have enabled the gift cards in that POS store, you need to add the products that correspond to gift cards.

  8. Make sure you save all your settings and go over again to configure all your POS stores that should be using loyalty and/or gift cards.

 

Download the Brightpearl POS app in Apple app store

Please delete the existing Brightpearl POS app if you have it already installed in your iPad and download the latest POS app available in the Apple app store by searching "Brightpearl POS".
