This is where you will be able to find out more details about the features we talk about in our release notes.
We will continuously be updating this page with any new features released for Amazon.
September 2018 | Hide inactive channels
It's now possible to tidy up your Channel menu by hiding inactive Amazon channels. To hide an Amazon channel go to Settings > Brightpearl apps > Amazon, edit the Amazon marketplace and uncheck the "Show in channel menu" box.
Choosing to hide an Amazon channel will only remove it from the main channel menu, it won't deactivate the channel. The channel will continue to show in report filters so that any existing data using that channel can still be searched for and reported on.
July 2018 | Handling of Amazon withheld tax
Amazon provide a Marketplace Tax Collection service in some US States. Those tax amounts paid by Amazon need to be reported but are already paid, reducing the outstanding tax liability.
The amount withheld by Amazon is indicated on the settlement report used for marking the Brightpearl orders as paid. Once configured, when a withheld tax amount is seen on the payment download, an additional order payment will be created in Brightpearl. This ensures that the order is marked as fully paid and will record the reduction in tax liability so that it can be subtracted from tax reporting.
This feature must be correctly configured to ensure that accounting for tax is correct. Read more about configuring Amazon withheld tax in Brightpearl
July 2018 | Listing level handling times
Amazon handling times can now be controlled at a listing level. To start controlling handling days per listing, record the number of days in a product custom field (numerical) and select the custom field on the Amazon settings. The default handling days will then only be used where no product specific handling days have been set.
March 2018 | Seller Fulfilled Prime order indicator
Unless you’re using an app like Brightpearl Automation to fulfil your expedited orders automatically, we know that being able to quickly see when orders need prioritizing is hugely important to make sure they get your customers on time.
You can already choose a special order status for Amazon Prime orders, and now you can permanently flag them using a custom field.
Select your custom field on the Amazon channel settings. You can then use this field for filtering sales and even add it as a column.
April 2018 | Amazon Business orders
We've added the ability to identify your Amazon business orders in Brightpearl using a custom field. We will also capture the purchase order number and the customer VAT number.
All you need to do is create two new sales order custom fields and select them in your Amazon settings.
March 2018 | Support for Seller Fulfilled Prime orders
SFP orders can be easily identified using the order status or a custom field, allowing you to filter those orders out and process them first. But if you are using ShipStation, those orders will be prioritized in ShipStation and will only need to be marked as complete in Brightpearl which can even be done for you with Brightpearl Automation.
To start using ShipStation and Brightpearl to handle your SFP orders simply set your Seller Fulfilled Prime Order custom field (see above) and choose to skip the shipment notification to Amazon for those orders - ShipStation will handle that.
February 2018 | Listings cap increased by 150%
Following feedback, we have increased the limit on Amazon listings per channel from 40,000 to 100,000 (or a 20mb upload).
