Taking payment

  • Once the products have been added to the basket and the customer is ready to pay then press ‘Pay’ at the bottom right of the basket screen
  • The checkout screen will then be presented
  • You can return to the basket to continue to add or edit the content of the basket by pressing the ‘Cancel’ button in the top right of the checkout screen

Quick cash buttons

On the checkout screen you can use the quick cash buttons to quickly process an amount that the customer has paid with.

Accepting multiple payment methods

  • On the checkout screen tap the payment amount or the calculator

  • Enter the amount the customer is paying by tapping the amount to tender or the calculator

 

  • Select the payment method that the customer wants to pay with
  • The screen will show the outstanding amount for the customer to pay (£214.72 highlighted below) along with the part payment that was taken (£200 highlighted below)

  • Add any further part payments that the customer wants to make until the order is fully paid
  • If you have enabled paying for deposit at your store you will be able to close the order without paying the full amount

Taking a payment with PayPal Here

  • On the checkout screen select the amount that you wish to pay and tap 'PayPal Here'
  • Brightpearl POS will show ‘Processing Transaction”
  • The PayPal Chip Card Reader will show the amount to pay
  • Your customer can tap, swipe, or insert their card to complete payment.
  • After completing the payment Brightpearl POS will show you whether the transaction is accepted or declined
  • If accepted PayPal will offer to email or text a PayPal receipt to your customer
  • If you have receipt printing enabled then a receipt will print

On account sales

  • NOTE You must have ‘On account sales’ enabled on your store
  • Add products to your basket
  • Assign an existing customer or add a new customer to the basket
  • Tap ‘Pay’
  • Tap ‘Pay Later’

  • After accepting the above the sale will complete without taking payment

Taking a deposit

  • NOTE You must have ‘Taking a deposit’ enabled on your store
  • Add products to your basket
  • Assign an existing customer or add a new customer to the basket
  • Tap ‘Pay’
  • Enter the deposit amount that the customer will pay
  • Tap ‘Take deposit’

  • After accepting the above the sale will complete
