We are consolidating our US hosting data centers. We will be moving all Brightpearl accounts hosted in the US West region to the US East region.
It is important that you review the whole of this document and act on the recommendations.
Why is this happening?
Brightpearl used to be hosted in many regions to allow us to host accounts in different time zones, (eg: EST, CST, PST, MST). For some time now, we've been able to host accounts operating in any timezone so additional hosting regions are no longer necessary. To improve process automation, simplify documentation and improve customer experience, we are consolidating our hosting regions to a single US region.
When will this happen?
Accounts on the US West data center will be migrated to US East data center at the beginning of March. To minimise disruption to your business we will migrate your account during the night. You will be told when the migration is due to happen and informed when it has completed.
How will I be affected?
Once your account has migrated to our US East data center the URLs (web addresses) associated with your account will change and so will the IP addresses. So any app, integration, bookmark or link you use will need to be updated. We've made a lit of all the things you'll need to change below.
When & what will need to be checked/changed?
You will need to check and update any of the items below that you are using, this should only be done after your account has been moved since changing it now will cause them to stop working. We recommend familiarizing yourself with what you need to do before hand so that the switch over on the day is as smooth as possible. If you are unsure of any of the details below please contact our support team.
- URL to login / saved bookmarks
You may have noticed that the URL for Brightpearl account includes the data center, currently USW. This is going to change to USE. If you use the log in via www.brightpearl.com then you will automatically be taken to the right place, but if you are using bookmarks or saved URLs you will need to update the URL from USW1 to UWE1, or go via our website and re-save the bookmark.
Remember to check any URLs you have in emails and templates too.
- SmartForm links
If you have used links to Brightpearl SmartForms anywhere, the URLs will need updating from portal.usw1.brightpearl.com to portal.use1.brightpearl.com
- API end point
If you're using our API you will need to be aware that the end point is changing from ws-usw.brightpearl.com to ws-use.brightpearl.com
- White listed IPs

|Boxora||Log into Boxora and update the data center within the settings.|
|eBay Marketplaces||No changes needed.|
|ekmPowershop||Brightpearl will update this for you, so you don't need to do anything.|
|EPOS||No changes needed.|
|Goodsmarket||You will need to update the data center within the app settings.|
|Demand Planner||Log into your Demand Planner account and update the date center in the settings.|
|Mad Capsule - DPD, Hermes, ParcelForce, UKMail, UPS||Log into your Mad Capsule portal and update the data center in the settings.|
|Magento||White list the dst-region cattery servers. See list above.|
|MailChimp (new)||You will need to deactivate and reactivate the app after your account has been moved. You will need to re-map all your tags after reactivating the app, so make sure you take a screen shot of your settings before disconnecting the app.|

|PriceForge from Lokad||Lokad will be updating the app, so you won't need to do anything.|
|Minubo||Minobu will be updating the app, so you won't need to do anything.|

|Scurri||The app will need to be uninstalled and re-installed.|

|ShipStation||Brightpearl will update this for you, so you don't need to do anything.|
|ShipWorks||Log into ShipStation, got to Manage > Stores, edit your Brightpearl store and update the data center to USE.|
|Shopify||Brightpearl will update this for you, so you don't need to do anything.|
|SkuBrain||Log into your SkuBrain portal and update the data center in the settings.|
|WooCommerce||Netmatter will be updating their app so you won't need to do anything.|
