You can integrate multiple BigCommerce accounts with a single Brightpearl account in order to manage inventory and orders in one central location.
Each separate BigCommerce account which you use is integrated with Brightpearl as a separate sales channel, allowing you to set controls per store, as well as report on the sales separately.
Handling products & inventory levels - the importance of SKUs
Brightpearl will become your "master product list" handling all your inventory levels for all integrated BigCommerce accounts. You may have products which are listed on one BigCommerce account and not the other, or items which appear on both, but all of those products will need to be imported to Brightpearl so that they have a single product record on your "master list".
It is important to ensure that every product has a unique SKU and that same SKU is applied across all your accounts. All Brightpearl integrations rely heavily on matching products by SKU for inventory level syncing and allocating items to downloaded orders.
Products can be imported from all your BigCommerce accounts, but ensure your existing SKUs are the same across every system first
When importing products each unique SKU will be imported only once. Therefore, it is important that each product SKU is standardized across your accounts before attempting to integrated multiple accounts to prevent duplicated product records in Brightpearl which have different SKUs.
B2B & B2C stores
BigCommerce does support separate customer groups, so a single store can be configured for both B2B and B2C. However, it can be complicated when you begin introducing many pricing rules and different discounts. You may instead opt for completely separate BigCommerce accounts in order to simply the setup and also introduce B2B and B2C customized website designs.
A single BigCommerce account integrated with Brightpearl will not allow you to report B2B and B2C sales, all sales will fall into a single sales channel.
Where separate BigCommerce accounts are integrated with Brightpearl orders from each account are reported under separate sales channels, allowing for segregated reporting.
Trading names & branding
BigCommerce does not support multiple views for different branding or trading names, so in this scenario you would need entirely separate BigCommerce stores. A single Brightpearl account, however, can handle multiple brands and company aliases.
Against each sales channel (one per BigCommerce account) you can specify which channel brand should be used. This means that company details, logos and even templates will automatically be applied to those orders without having to change any processes.
