Configurable Columns, Filters & Preset Views

Configurable columns, filters and presets are used together to display relevant data and allow fast workflow processing.

Available in version 4.90 for the following screens:

  • Sales - this list includes orders and credits. Access it via Sales > Recent sales/quotes or Sales > All Credits. Using the filters you can choose to view orders or credits or both at the same time.
  • Purchases  - this list includes orders and credits. Access it via  Purchases > Recent purchase orders or Purchases > All Purchase Credits. Using the filters you can choose to view orders or credits or both at the same time.
  • Sales detail - this is a detailed list of sales orders and credits (by row). Access it via Reports > Sales detail. Using the filters you can choose to view orders or credits or both at the same time.
  • Purchase detail - this is a detailed list of purchase orders and credits (by row). Access it via Purchases > PO Detail Report. Using the filters you can choose to view orders or credits or both at the same time.
  • Customers - access this list via Customers > List all Customers.
  • Suppliers/Vendors - access this list via Suppliers > List all Suppliers / Vendors > List all Vendors.
  • Sales Analysis (by product) - access this list via Reports > Sales by Product.

Configurable columns

Column configuration includes adding, removing and sequencing columns to a screen. These customizations can be used as a one off, or saved as a preset so that the view can easily be produced at any time.

Note : Available in version 4.90 for Sales, Purchases, Sales Detail, Purchase Detail, Customers, Suppliers, Sales Analysis by Product.

How to configure columns

Note: Available in version 4.90 for Sales, Purchases, Sales Detail, Purchase Detail, Customers, Suppliers, Sales Analysis by Product.

  1. Navigate to the screen to be customized.
  2. Open the Filters .
  3. Click Configure Columns .
  4. Drag-and-drop to add, remove and sort the columns as desired, creating your preferred layout on the left-hand side.

  1. Click Update columns to return to the filters. The columns will be applied along with any other filters chosen.
  2. Select any other filters.
  3. Click Filter to apply the columns and filters to view the results, or to save this configuration as a preset view click Save as a new preset , enter a name and then click Filter and save new preset . If you decide later that you want to save a filtered view as a preset, you can re-open the filters and do so.

Preset views

Preset views are useful for creating personalised processing lists and data downloads which automatically apply all the required filters, columns and data sorting allowing for tasks to be carried out with ease.

Using relative date filters

When saving a preset view with a date filter using one of the relative date options such as “Today” or “Last 30 days” will ensure your date is always current.

  1. Navigate to the screen to add the preset for.
  2. Open the Filters .
  3. Apply the desired filters and column configuration.
  4. Click Save as a new preset .

  1. Enter a preset name and click Filter and save as new preset . This can be done before or after applying the changes.

How to switch a preset view

Note: Available in version 4.90 for Sales, Purchases, Sales Detail, Purchase Detail, Customers, Suppliers, Sales Analysis by Product.

  1. When viewing a screen, select the preset from the dropdown at the top of the screen. The filters, columns and results will be loaded automatically.

How to update or edit a preset view

Note: Available in version 4.90 for Sales, Purchases, Sales Detail, Purchase Detail, Customers, Suppliers, Sales Analysis by Product.

  1. Select the report preset at the top of the screen to load the results.
  2. Open the filters and make the desired changes to filters and columns.
  3. Within the filters click Update preset “_name_” to save and apply the changes. To apply the filters as a one off and without saving the changes to the preset, click Filter .

How to delete a preset view

Note: Available in version 4.90 for Sales, Purchases, Sales Detail, Purchase Detail, Customers, Suppliers, Sales Analysis by Product.

  1. Select the report preset at the top of the screen to load the results.
  2. Within the filters click Delete preset . The screen will reload with the system default filters and columns and any matching results.

How to copy a preset view

  1. Select the report preset at the top of the screen to load the results.
  2. Open the filters.
  3. Make any changes to the filters and columns for the new preset.
  4. Within the filters click Save as a new preset .
