Is it possible to restrict a user from deleting notes they have added to a contact timeline?

No. If the user added the note, they can also remove it from a contact timeline.

I'm getting the following error when sending an email in Brightpearl. What does it mean?

SMTP -> ERROR: Password not accepted from server: 535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 535 5.7.8 http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?answer=14257 d9sm79133814eei.9 - gsmtp 
SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. Mailer Error: SMTP Error: Could not authenticate.

If you get this error it's because your SMTP account is not correctly set up.

Click the back button on your browser to go back to Brightpearl and then go to Settings > Company > Email (SMTP) accounts. Click to edit the SMTP account connected to your staff member record. Ensure the email address and password are correct.
