Is it possible to restrict a user from deleting notes they have added to a contact timeline?

No. If the user added the note, they can also remove it from a contact timeline.

Is there a limit to how many SMS messages I can send?

Yes, you can only send 100 at a time. However, you can send another batch of up to 100 immediately after. The daily limit (24 hour period) is 5000 and the monthly limit is 10,000.

I'm getting the following error when sending an email in Brightpearl, what does it mean?

"SMTP -> ERROR: Password not accepted from server: 535-5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at 535 5.7.8 http://support.google.com/mail/bin/answer.py?answer=14257 d9sm79133814eei.9 - gsmtp
SMTP Error: Could not authenticate. Mailer Error: SMTP Error: Could not authenticate."

If you get this error it's because your SMTP is not correctly set up for your email address. Click the back button on your browser to go back to Brightpearl and then go to Settings > Company > Email (SMTP) accounts . Click to edit the SMTP account connected to your staff member record. Ensure the email address and password are correct.

My contacts haven't appeared in MailChimp...

Check your "opt in" setting
Contacts will only appear in MailChimp once they have received an email and confirmed that they are happy to be added to the mailing list.
Check the customer newsletter setting in Brightpearl
If the customer is not set to receive email newsletters their details will not be transferred to MailChimp. Change the setting to "Yes". This can be done within an individual contact information tab, or in batches from the customer list. Note that the Newsletter setting acts as a global switch with regards to Mailchimp. If a customer unsubscribes from an individual Mailchimp email campaign, this global switch would remain on.
